Good Morning, Crusaders! Happy Thursday. We’re glad you’re here! Today is a GOLD day.
Announcements:
Today’s weather at noon: 81 degrees.
Quote of the day: The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.
TOMORROW is the Graduation walk for the Seniors who are graduating on Sunday. This is an awesome tradition that honors all they have done to graduate high school. It is a testament to their hard work and determination. Help them celebrate their success as they walk through the halls today! Around 10am tomorrow, I will make an announcement to take your places in the hallways. KMS students will be in a single-file line along the lockers or walls as the grads parade by. You can clap, cheer, and give them high fives
Attention all 8th grade girls with an interest in running cross country in the fall at GHS...Plan on attending a very brief, five minute meeting at the beginning of the Advisory group today (2:17). Coach Siegert, your head coach will be here to give you the information you need to be ready for Cross Country in the Fall. Remember to let your advisory teacher know you are attending before heading to the GAC.
Attention ALL MEMBERS of the KMS TRACK AND FIELD team...Your coaches would like to get the entire team back together one more time to celebrate a successful season and everything you accomplished. Please plan on joining your coaches this Thursday during advisory group in the Gold Gym. Also, make note to either wear or bring your team shirt on Thursday so that we can get a team picture as well. See you in the Gold Gym during advisory group on Thursday.

Attention all students: We have noticed a large amount of trash being left outside during recess over the past several weeks. This is a reminder that food should not be taken outside during recess. Please help keep our school grounds clean by throwing away all trash before going outside. Any student who is observed littering during recess will lose the privilege of going outside for recess the following day. Thank you for doing your part to keep KMS clean and welcoming for everyone.
Attention 8th graders! Your Chromebooks are NOT going home with you this summer. You will be turning them in at the end of the school year (this includes your charger and case). You will receive NEW Chromebooks as freshmen at the high school! Please see your teacher or Mr. Schultz in the LMC, with any questions
Rules Reminder: Substitute Behavior: Treat the guest teacher the same way you’d treat your teacher. Show respect and follow directions the. Keep the classroom running smoothly by staying on task, using quiet voices, and helping each other. Be responsible, do your work, clean up after yourself, and leave things better than you found them. Represent our school well. Your behavior shows who we are, so let’s make it positive and respectful. Remember, your teacher will hear how things went. Make it a day you’re proud of!
KINDNESS - The kind of person you are can be measured by the way you make others feel. Remember The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. In other words: Give others the same level of kindness that you would like to receive. Be kind. It’s that simple.
ACT Word of the Day is digression - straying from the main point. The elderly professor would sometimes make a digression and talk about his wife’s flowerbeds instead of physics.

Please prepare for the Pledge of Allegiance: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Here at KMS, the K also stands for KIND. So be kind to each other, keep your hands to yourself, listen to your teachers, and a warm welcome to all of our guests in the building.
Make it a great day, Crusaders. The choice is yours.
