GHS Student Council - Hey 8th graders, as you are thinking about what to join next year at GHS, the GHS Student Council would like to remind you that applications for next year's Class Representatives have been emailed to you. Should you like to apply please remember your application is due by Friday. Email Ms. Seramur at GHS if you have any questions.

Rules Reminder: Substitute Behavior: Treat the guest teacher the same way you’d treat your teacher. Show respect and follow directions the first time. Keep the classroom running smoothly by staying on task, using quiet voices, and helping each other. Be responsible, do your work, clean up after yourself, and leave things better than you found them. Represent our school well. Your behavior shows who we are, so let’s make it positive and respectful. Remember, your teacher will hear how things went. Make it a day you’re proud of!

ADVISORY RULES REMINDERS

Quiet time for homework

Silent reading

May visit Core classes with hall pass or quick pass

May visit Coordinated Arts classes - students need pass FROM the CA teacher

Limit students in the hallways (unless emergency, only 1 student out at a time)

Pack up at locker AFTER advisory - no backpacks in the classrooms (unless individually special reason)

KINDNESS - The kind of person you are can be measured by the way you make others feel. Remember The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. In other words: Give others the same level of kindness that you would like to receive. Be kind. It’s that simple.

ACT Word of the Day is fortuitous - lucky. Their success is the result of a fortuitous combination of circumstances.

Today’s Crusader Trivia Question: Which staff member was born and raised in Michigan?

Yesterday’s Trivia Answer: The moon takes 27.3 days to orbit the Earth.

Congratulations to Today’s Winners: Lexi Roeming (7th Grade) and Bryson Johnson (6th Grade). Get a pass and come on down to the MAIN office for your prize!

Please prepare for the Pledge of Allegiance: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Here at KMS, the K also stands for KIND. So be kind to each other, keep your hands to yourself, and listen to your teachers.

Make it a great day, Crusaders. The choice is yours.
