The Wall of Sound had a busy summer preparing for the fall competition season. Starting practices at the end of school, their first performance was in Germantown’s 4th of July Parade. July brought more practices and performances, like the Kiwanis Taste of Germantown in Fireman’s Park. Marching camp was July 27-31. Even losing practice time to rain, the band exceeded all of our camp goals, The Richfield Parade wrapped up the group's summer performances.
Marching Band Madness is Saturday, September 12 at 7:00 at Datka Stadium. Germantown and bands from Cedarburg, Sussex, Franklin, and Greenfield will perform their shows and join forces for a mass band finale. Tickets are available at the gate. You can catch the Wall of Sound at home football games this fall as well!
The Warchix had a fun and successful summer! They went to camp and placed first in every category! They also went to Illinois to compete and qualified for Disney in February! Gabi Nash also took 1st place with her solo this summer out of 50 soloists! They are looking forward to the school year and ready to cheer on the Football team this Fall!
The boys' cross country team spent the summer logging miles, eating donuts and bagels and welcoming new members to team. This young squad was excited to test their fitness with their first competition of the season at the Hoehnke-Hill Milwaukee River Invite which was held on Thursday, August 27th at Veterans Park overlooking Lake Michigan.
The summer work that the team put in showed up in the results with 11 runners improving upon their opening race results from a year ago on the same course. Junior Vander Hausmann led the way with his 16th place finish earning him a medal. Junior Chase Schellinger and Ben Armstrong, sophomore Will Grimm and junior Blake Yegge rounded out the scoring 5 athletes. Congrats to Will Grimm for his 1 minute and 22 second personal record (PR).
The team next races at the Leighton Betz Invite in West Allis on Friday, September 4th. Good luck!
The Girls' Cross Country program has gotten off to a running start! They have been working hard while having fun the first two weeks of the season. A post-workout cereal buffet, brunch at Coach Siegert’s, themed workouts, and the first pasta party were some of the highlights!
The Warhawks were eager to get the first race of the season under their belts August 27th at Veterans Park on the beautiful Milwaukee Lakefront featuring a very competitive field. It was a beautiful night and the ladies posted some great early season times! The team took 4th place out of 25 teams and we had 3 ladies in the top 50 out of 359 runners to earn medals. Congratulations to Gracie Ballesteros for leading the team and placing 10th, Kierta Siegert for placing 12th, and Avery Burns for placing 16th while running her personal best at the 5k distance! Congratulations to all of the girls on a great first meet of the 2026 season! Good luck to the team at their next meet at Greenfield Park on September 4th.

The football team, at all levels, is off to a great start. Two weeks ago they honored their parents at Parent's Night and last week varsity defeated Hartford 38-0! Good luck to the Warhawks as they take on the Franklin Sabers tonight at home. (The freshman tailgate will take place before the game).
Girls' Golf has been off to a busy start. To open the season Varsity battled a tough field at the Washington County Invite. Led by Remy Lichtig’s 89 and Emily Laitinen’s 92 the girls placed 16th out of 27. The conference season has gotten into full swing. At Brown Deer the team took 7th led by Remy Lichtig’s 44. The girls improved at Wanaki taking 5th led by Remy Lichtig’s 41 and Ella Larson’s 43. Yesterday the girls added another 5th place finish at Dretzka led by Emily Laitinen’s 40 and Remy Lichtig’s 42.
There has been some hardware collected by the program to start the season as well. The team of Mya Borchard, Angelina Tarantino, Joie Czajka, and Rylie Wille won the Homestead JV Scramble shooting a combined 74 to win the tournament by three strokes. Bringing home the 1st place medals to start the season off with a bang. At the first JV GMC Mini Meet the girls took second led by Joie Czajka’s 48.
Finally the JV2 team got off to a strong start as well. This past week they defeated Brookfield East in a dual led by Hannah Jorgensen’s 44 and Anna Reudinger’s 48. All levels are looking to continue to build momentum as the season gets into full swing.
The boys' soccer team is off to a GREAT start with wins against Wisconsin Lutheran, Slinger and Homestead. The team also honored their parents for parent's night against Slinger. (Thank you, Parents!) They take on Wauwatosa East at home next Tuesday.
The Germantown Girls' Swim and Dive have splashed into the season with 4 meets already. Their first meet was a dual meet against Nicolet. Both the Varsity and JV won. For the Varsity, it was a close meet. They won 95-90. JV won 114-24. The divers had a great first meet with some of them being right on their personal bests. Emmy Collins won for Varsity and Natalie Saxman won for JV. Other top finishers included:

The boys' volleyball team beat Pius, Brookfield East and Menomonee Falls while also dropping two matches to Waukesha West and Brookfield East. They are back in action tomorrow at the Brookfield Clash- Good luck!
The girls' volleyball team is off to a GREAT start! The team defeated Westosha Central in three and lost close matches to Menomonee Falls. They host a quad tomorrow starting at 8am against Grafton, Hartford and Green Bay Preble and then host DSHA on Wednesday for Faculty Night. Good luck!
