Brooke Jakubowski, a Germantown High School senior, was recognized as one of the top speech students in Wisconsin.
Why it matters:
More than 3,100 students from nearly 300 Wisconsin high schools competed in this year’s State Speech Festival.
The accomplishment:
Only 19 seniors in the entire state earned the festival’s highest award all four years of high school from 2023-2026.
That award:
Students received Critic’s Choice gold medals each year for top performances at the state contest.
Why it is special:
Earning the top award once is difficult. Earning it four years in a row is rare.
