BaseballGolfGolfGood luck at State, boys' golf team!

Girls SoccerSoccerSoccerSoccerSoccerSoccerThe girls' soccer team defeated Fond du Lac in the opening round of Regional play and will host Cedarburg Saturday at 4pm in the Regional Final match-up. GOOD LUCK!

SoftballThe softball team lost to Brookfield East 2-1 in the sectional semifinal, ending their season at 16-4-1.

Brookfield East jumped in front 2-0 in the top of the 1st.  Other than a 2-out double by Kayla Preiss in the 1st inning, the Warhawks didn't mount a serious threat until the bottom of the 7th.  With 1 out, Madison Werner singled to RF and came around to score on a Kennedy Bennett single that was misplayed by the centerfielder.  However, the Warhawks weren't able to push across the game-tying run.

Kylie Otto (7-3) was the tough luck loser.  She went the distance in the circle, giving up 2 earned runs on 7 hits, walking 1 and striking out 6.

The game marked the end of the high school careers for seniors Emmy Coulter, Kayla Preiss, Madison Werner, Julia Sina and Kylie Otto.  Coulter, Preiss, and Werner were 4-year letter winners and are among the best players in Germantown softball history.  Otto was a 3-year letter winner and Sina a 2-year letter winner.  All 5 will play softball in college - Coulter will attend DePaul University, Preiss is going to Butler University, Werner will attend the University of Wisconsin, Otto is going to Bryant & Stratton and Sina will attend Hamline. Good luck!

TennisAdam Emerson and Will Wagner made it to the WIAA individual State tournament and played an outstanding match on Thursday afternoon against Sheboygan North. Adam and Will beat Sheboygan North 6-3, 7-6 (1) with a 2nd set tiebreak to advance onto the 2nd round!

On Friday morning Adam and Will faced Brookfield Academy in a rematch from first round at sectionals. Adam and Will put up a great fight but fell unfortunately fell short losing in two sets: 4-6, 3-6.
