Board recognizes Carson Depies’ Eagle Scout project at County Line Elementary.
Some places leave a lasting impression.
For Carson Depies, that place was County Line Elementary.
When it came time to complete his Eagle Scout project, he returned to the school that helped shape him.
At its July 21, 2026, meeting, the Germantown School District Board of Education recognized Carson Depies for completing a project that will benefit County Line students and families for years to come.
"County Line gave so much to me and many other students," said Depies. "This project was an opportunity to give something back while creating something meaningful for the school community."
The project
Carson organized volunteers to restore the school's outdoor storage shed by preparing, sanding, priming, and repainting the structure.
He then designed and painted a mural featuring the County Line mascot and emblem. More than a mural, it became a place where students and families can capture memories during school events and special occasions.
Leadership in action
An Eagle Scout project is more than completing a task. It requires vision, planning, leadership, and the ability to bring others together to serve a common purpose.
Through this project, Carson transformed more than a weathered shed. He left a lasting gift for a school community that helped shape his own journey.

The Board of Education commended Carson for his leadership, creativity, and dedication to serving others.
