Recognizing excellence in the classroom.
Germantown High School continued a proud academic tradition last week, celebrating high-performing students during the Spring 2026 Academic Awards Ceremony. Held each fall and spring, the event honors students who maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher and reflects a long-standing culture of academic excellence.
This year's spring ceremony, held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, honored 91 students for their achievement in the classroom.
Of the students recognized:
• 47 earned their academic letter
• 33 received a silver pin
• 11 achieved the highest honor with a gold pin
The school’s academic lettering system mirrors the structure of athletic and activity letters, rewarding students for sustained academic success. Students who earn a 3.5 to 3.99 GPA in a semester receive half a point, while those who achieve a perfect 4.0 GPA earn a full point. When a student accumulates two points, they earn their academic letter for their high school years. Continued excellence leads to additional points and opportunities to receive a silver pin, followed later by a gold pin.
These students represent the commitment, consistency, and effort it takes to perform at a high level in the classroom.
Congratulations to all of our honorees on this outstanding accomplishment.
