GHS Students Excel on National German Exam

Germantown High School students continue to excel in world language learning.

Andrew Thompson and Emily Laack have earned National German Exam Honor Roll recognition for their performance on the 2026 National German Exam, joining more than 12,000 students nationwide who participated this year. Both completed the highest level of the exam and now qualify to apply for scholarships through the American Association of Teachers of German.

Andrew earned a Silver Medal, scoring in the 95th percentile in Listening and Viewing and the 82nd percentile overall.

Emily earned a Gold Medal, with standout results including the 98th percentile in Listening and Viewing, the 97th percentile in Reading, and the 98th percentile overall.
