MacArthur School was built in 1928 and was known as Germantown Elementary School District #5. After an all school vote in 1963, the school was renamed MacArthur after General Douglas MacArthur. Throughout the years additions have been put on to the building, with the final one done in 1991. The school can accomodate 425 students and is set on a 7.52 acre site near the corner of Pilgrim Road and Fond Du Lac Avenue.
The moment you walk through the doors of MacArthur, you will be greeted in the office with a smile. MacArthur is one of four elementary schools in the Germantown School District beginning at the kindergarten level, soaring up to fifth grade. Our staff is dedicated to meet the needs of the children that walk through our doors every day. Students work hard to represent the school's mascot, the eagle, and are rewarded every trimester for their special "eagle efforts."
