GHS Graduation Center

Welcome to the Germantown Graduation Center

The Germantown Graduation Center is an off-site (i.e., not at the high school) program that provides “At-Risk” students an opportunity to graduate. There are two programs in the center.

One is called GED Option #2 and this requires students to be employed, do community service, pass all 5 GED tests, establish career exploration, planning and carrying out the start of that plan; as well as character and civics education.

The other program in the Graduation Center is called Credit Recovery. This involves students completing Individualized Learning Plans that helps them to get caught up to be on pace to graduate on time.

Learning experiences in this program are extended beyond the traditional classroom through field trips and community service by the experiential model. It is our goal to have graduates go on to post-secondary education in the forms of technical college, apprenticeships, two or four year universities, the military or the general workforce.
