Officer Olson began her law enforcement career in August of 1998 as a Deputy with the Otsego County Sheriff’s Department in Gaylord, MI after graduating with a Bachelors degree from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. In January of 2001 she was hired by the Germantown Police Department as a Patrol Officer. In the last 10 years she has worked afternoon & night shift and has been active in enforcing impaired driving and highway safety. Since her hiring by the Germantown Police Department she has became certified in Child Passenger Safety, International Police Mountain Bike Patrol and is a Drug Recognition Expert. After an interview process that was conducted by police and school district personnel, Officer Olson was promoted to School Resource Officer. She started her SRO duties with the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year and will continue serving the school community, the police department, and the citizens of the Village of Germantown.
