Our year is in full swing. I feel like our class is really in the routine of the day and have settled in nicely. We are working very hard on learning and following our classroom rules and expectations. This is proving to be easier some days than others. We will continue to work together to create a happy classroom.
Thank you for your commitment to helping your child complete their homework nightly. I am very pleased that students are becoming responsible for bringing their homework home each night and returning it each morning. We will begin having weekly spelling lists this week. I have included a note explaining the spelling procedure for the year. Typically, first graders are very excited about spelling tests! I am hopeful that all students will find the activities interesting and will be able to retain the many words that they learn.
