Milwaukee Area Teachers of Psychology (MATOP)
Since 1993, Milwaukee area psychology teachers have gathered twice a year to share teaching ideas and develop professional friendships. Our group has come to be known as the "Milwaukee Area Teachers of Psychology" (MATOP), even though many attendees come from far outside of the greater Milwaukee metropolitan area.
MATOP meetings, usually one in the fall (Oct/Nov) and the another in the spring (April/May), are open to anyone interested in the teaching of psychology. While the primary emphasis of MATOP is high school, psychology teacher at the secondary level (regular, AP and IB) and post-secondary level are welcome to attend.
Meetings are announced via:
- email from the addresses on the MATOP database,
- messages to the three major teaching of psychology discussion groups (AP Psychology Teacher Community, PsychTeacher listserv, and PsychNews listserv) and on
- the Teaching High School Psychology Blog.
If you would like to be included in future MATOP emailings, please complete the form below.
