Dear Germantown School District Community Members,
As your superintendent, it is an honor and a privilege to have the responsibility of leading the Germantown School District. As a result of my experiences, I have been blessed to witness and partake in the positive differences effective instruction and leadership can bring to our youth...and I enjoy my work. I believe strongly in the District’s vision, mission, goals, beliefs, and philosophy statement—on my first day in the district office, I placed a copy of these above my work station to remind me of the reasons Germantown School District exists and its evolutionary purpose. I embrace the possibilities and challenges associated with attaining the vision of becoming the premier district in Wisconsin via our mission to empower and inspire every student to success.
I believe that the backbone of any thriving community is an excellent school system. I believe that Germantown already has excellent schools; however, I also believe that one should never rest on their laurels. As superintendent, I strive to provide better for students, parents, staff, citizens, and the Board. I strive to be a role model for strong ethics, transparency, and integrity. I strive to be visible and involved. I look to continue to serve the people of Germantown to the best of my ability. As an educational leader, I value people and believe in the power of those individuals striving together to reach a goal.
People of Germantown possess an impressive history for being productive citizens in the State—folks here certainly know what it means to pull together as a community to continually improve upon their daily lives, which is good for upcoming generations. Because of that tradition, I will strive to facilitate continued improvement to the learning and teaching that takes place here. As Lombardi stated, “Perfection is not attainable. But if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.” And the way to do that will be through collaboration, respectful environments, and a positive attitude—throughout the District.
